Upper Room Facilities

The room is octagonal with glass louvres on seven of the eight sides.  

Seating for about 50 people comfortably but can manage up to 70. We have had over a hundred happy people at a wedding in this room but some people sat on the veranda and several kids sat on the floor.

There is no air conditioning but ceiling fans and the breezy, louvred windows keep the room cool in all but the most extreme temperatures.

Tea, Coffee, sugar and herbal tea are supplied. Groups should bring milk.

A "Bush Kitchen" near the upper room has a water boiler, sink and fridge. Cups, plates and cutlery are provided but no cooking facilities in this kitchen.

The "Downstairs kitchen"  has the same facilities as the bush kitchen plus a microwave cooker, a plug-in frypan and a slow cooker. There is no stovetop or oven.

Discuss your kitchen requirements with the caretaker. If a second group is using the downstiars garden room, the downstairs kitchen may not be available to the upstairs group.  If your group is large, you may need to consider renting both the upstairs and the downstairs areas.
